Chad Johnson Released From Jail After 'Slap' Incident? (VIDEO)
Chad Johnson is reportedly set to be released from a Florida jail on Monday almost one week after the disgraced NFL player was sentenced to serve 30-days for slapping his attorney on the backside in court.
Johnson, 35, appeared before Broward County Circuit Judge Kathleen McHugh, who was widely criticized for her handling of his court-room gesture, and the former Miami Dolphins star was scolded over his behavior shortly before his release. McHugh extended Johnson's probation by one month and ultimately agreed to his release, according to TMZ.com.
The father of four had initially appeared before McHugh on June 10 for an alleged probation violation stemming from a domestic assault case involving his ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada. At first the Judge agreed to a "no jail" plea deal however she later changed her mind after Johnson slapped his attorney, Adam Swickle.

"I don't know that you're taking this whole thing seriously. I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about this?" McHugh said during the initial hearing while slapping the plea deal document down on her desk.
"The whole courtroom was laughing. I'm not going to accept these plea negotiations. This isn't a joke," she continued before sentencing Johnson to 30-days in jail.
While critics of Johnson, who was previously convicted of head-butting Lozada, applauded McHugh's ruling Florida's Attorney General did not.
"Although we never condone domestic violence, this event seems to question judicial temperament, not the subject matter before the court," Florida Atty. Gen. Pam Bondi reportedly said.
Johnson was initially arrested in May on suspicion of violating his one-year probation in relation to the assault case involving Lozada. An arrest warrant was eventually issued when Johnson reportedly failed to meet his probation officer and show proof of enrollment in a domestic violence education class, according to reports.
