Chad Johnson's Battered Ex Re-Surfacing Along With Past Domestic Violence Documentation?
Chad Johnson, wide receiver who was recently cut from the Miami Dolphins after allegedly head-butting his now estranged wife Evelyn Lozada, has an ex-girlfriend who claims she was also abused by the NFL veteran. Now, Johnson's former love interest from college allegedly wants to reach out to his estranged wife.
According to TMZ reports, Johnson reportedly slapped his anonymous ex-girlfriend from college who is now seeking to find closure by speaking to Lozada, 38-year-old reality television star, who married the football player in July. The publication stated that the woman has attempted to reach Lozada via Twitter and Facebook in an effort to find closure from her own situation.
While TMZ reported that Johnson's ex-girlfriend has been unsuccessful in reaching Lozada, the publication obtained the NFL star's certificate of completion from a domestic violence batterers' treatment program in 2002 stemming from the incident in college. However the status report from the program said Johnson "struggled initially with accepting the need to make lifestyle changes as well as minimizing his past behavior," according to TMZ.
While the publication said Johnson's report said the risk of him repeating his violent behavior against a woman were low. However, Johnson seemed to take responsibility after allegedly head-butting Lozada on Aug 11.
In a statement posted on Johnson's OchoCinco News Network website, the 34-year-old wide receiver apologized to all who heard about the recent domestic violence incident with his 36-year-old wife, Lozada.
"I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred. I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death," Johnson said in the statement on his website. "I will continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL. To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies."
