'Channel Zero' Season 2 Spoilers: 'No-End House' to Have Similarities and Many Differences With 'Candle Cove'

Syfy's "Channel Zero" has made a grand entrance with the premiere of its sophomore season.

Based on the Creepypasta story titled "No-End House," which was written by Brian Russell, "Channel Zero" season 2 gives the series an opportunity to explore a different kind of territory by the story that is being told and through how the storytelling is exhibited, according to Screen Rant.

Show creator Nick Antosca likened the current season to a "suburban nightmare" in the line of American film director John Carpenter's works, which hints of the big difference that season 2 has from season 1, which was titled "Candle Cove."

Antosca also recently had an interview with CinemaBlend, wherein he explained what the team aims to achieve with the series, emphasizing that it is far from being a gratuitous horrow show.

"It was really important to us, both in the first season and this season, to not just be a horror show about jump scares and gratuitous moments and jolts, but to be about real psychological horror. And the most disturbing thing to us as human beings is loss," he explained, adding that while the first and second seasons are vastly different stories in many ways, they are also similar in one.

This refers to both stories of the anthology series revolving around a lead character who has suffered a major loss and tries to figure out how to cope.

"Channel Zero" season 2 just landed on Syfy this week with its premiere episode titled "This Isn't Real," and it gained plenty of positive reviews from viewers and critics.

Collider's review even called the series one of the scariest television shows to date. Amy Forsyth plays Margot, this season's main character. She is a college student who recently lost her father, whom she had a close relationship with. Trying to cope with the loss, she leaves her old life and tries to find her place in the world.

However, things start to get scary when Margot's father "returns" from the dead.

"Channel Zero" airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on Syfy.
