Charlie Sheen 'Anger Management' Cast Problems: Selma Blair Fired After Fight?
Charlie Sheen is once again embroiled in a sitcom drama after one of his co-stars on his "Anger Management" show was fired for allegedly criticizing the actor.
Selma Blair, 40, was let go from the show following a very public feud.
"We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best," a rep for Lionsgate, which produces the show, said in a statement.
Reports indicate that Sheen, 47, facilitated his co-star's departure when Blair complained to show producers about his work ethic and late set arrivals. Single mom Blair had played Kate Wales, therapist and best friend to Sheen's character on the show. Sheen also allegedly threatened to leave the show if Blair was not fired.
Charlie Sheen has been in the news recently also for changing his name back to Carlos Estevez for the credits in his upcoming movie "Machete Kills."
Sheen, who was given the name Carlos Estevez at birth, famously changed his name to Charlie when he was a child to avoid any confusion with his uncle, who was also called Carlos.
Charlie Sheen has two older brothers, Emilio Estevez and Ramon Estevez, and a younger sister, Renée Estevez - all actors. Emilio, of course, is famous in his own right, and has starred in numerous films, but he has always used his real name and kept Estevez.
Now it appears as though Charlie Sheen has decided to go back to his roots and will promote himself with his birth-given name, at least for Robert Rodriguez's film "Machete Kills."
The cast of "Machete Kills" includes Sofia Vergara, Mel Gibson, Vanessa Hudgens, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lady Gaga and Danny Trejo playing the title role.
Charlie Sheen will play the President of the United States. "Machete Kills" will be released in September 2013.
