In what is looking like an interesting series, the two teams have battled back and forth to take control of the series.
At the moment, Miami have the slight edge as they are ahead 2-1, but looking at the last matchup between the two, the Hornets have the momentum after a great performance.
In games 1 and 2, Miami pushed the pace as they established early dominance over the Hornets.
Looking at Game 1, Miami got a hot start and scored 41 points in the first quarter to blow the game wide open. They would eventually get the win after maintaining pressure in a 123-91 affair.
Luol Deng was spectacular in the game, scoring 31 points and grabbing seven rebounds to lead the Heat.
Miami were red hot from the field as they made 58% of their shots in the entire game, with also a 50% conversion rate from beyond the arc.
In the second battle, it was Dwyane Wade who pushed the pace as he scored 28 points and dished out eight assists in the 115-103 win.
Wade made 50% of his shots as he could not be stopped throughout the game as Miami's impressive scoring continued as they made 58% of their field goals, and 56% from the three point line.
With a change in scenery and playing at home, Charlotte desperately tried to get a win as they wanted to avoid being down 3-0 in the series.
And it was through a great second and third quarter that the Hornets pulled away to win 96-80 and cut the series deficit to half.
Marvin Williams had 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Hornets, while Jeremy Lin led the team with 18 points in a little over 26 minutes on the floor.
