Chelsea Handler Cuts Hair, Follows Jen Aniston's Lead? (PHOTO)

Chelsea Handler took a play from her good friend Jennifer Aniston's book with a new short haircut this week.

The comedienne took to Twitter debuting a makeover including a shoulder-length trim to her famous blonde locks.

"I'm done with hair," 38-year-old Handler posted in the caption to a photo taken from the salon chair with wet, freshly cut hair.

The starlet also added a photo of the trimmings on the ground.

"My leftovers," she wrote.

Handler's haircut comes just weeks after Aniston trimmed six inches off her own hair into a cut that may have inspired Handler's new look. The actresses have been friends for many years, and Aniston has even appeared on "Chelsea Lately" on E! on numerous occasions.

Aniston explained that her haircut arrived out of boredom while speaking to Vogue last month. The 44-year-old actress is famous for her varying hairstyles as Rachel on "Friends" from 1994 to 2004, but Aniston proved she can still surprise fans with a brand-new bob.

"It was kind of spur-of-the-moment," the star explained to Vogue.com. "I was flipping through television channels and I paused it to take a picture and I sent it to Chris [McMillan, her hair stylist] and he said, 'That's [stylist] Lawren Howell from Vogue!' And then he said, 'I just cut that!' So that's it."

Without a moment of hesitation, Aniston had her stylist chop her lengthy hair.

"I did it! I feel great, I feel lighter," said the actress, according to Vogue. "It's simple, it's really simple, that's for sure. But I'm always one of those girls who does a big old chop just to get it really healthy, to repair all the [damage from] hair coloring and stuff like that. And I just got bored, honestly. It's fun to change it up once in a while."

As for styling her new hairdo, Aniston admitted that the process is easy.

"It kind of dried on its own, we just shook it out," she said of the initial cut. "There's a little round brush we used to get at the root, and then I took Amp, and I put it all through the root so that it had a little bit of grit to it."

Aniston is no stranger to discussing matters of her hair, and the actress is not only a spokesperson for Living Proof hair care products, but is also part-owner of the company.
