Chelsea Handler's Back Brace for Excessive Partying, Aniston Jokes
Chelsea Handler, stand up comedian, has landed herself in a back brace after what she says was a night of excessive partying.
The comedian went on the "Live With Kelly" show Monday morning hosted by Kelly Ripa, boasting a newly added back brace. Handler reported going out for a night of partying and drinking when she acquired her newest accessory. She at first joked to Ripa saying that the brace was not a bulletproof vest and then went in to her night out. "Not to be funny, but I'm actually wearing a back brace because of something that happened that night,"Handler told Ripa.
The comedian is sometimes the center of controversy for her jokes that attack other celebrities like the Kardashians. Recently she commented on Mariah Carey's weight, which many found offensive. Jennifer Aniston however, who is a close friend, isn't afraid to be the butt of Handler's jokes and came out last week with her own jokes about Handler.
When Aniston was told that Handler was a busy person Aniston replied, "Doing what? I mean, gossiping about more successful people that are better looking than her? Or putting her name on another dumb book to make the world a dumber place? I mean, just ridiculous." She continued with her own personal impersonation of Handler. "Hi, I'm Chelsea. I really think that everything I say is funny."
Handler commented that her night out would be one of the most memorable thanks to an injury that she's not soon to forget. According to her, she has been prescribed with a heavy dose of steroids and painkillers. Although she didn't say exactly what the cause of the injury was, she did describe some sort of dance move.
"I do this glide where I'm really happy and I sit while I dance because I have to hold onto something that's stable," Handler said. Perhaps this time she forgot to hold on.
Handler is the host of two reality TV shows "Chelsea Lately" and "After Lately" on the E! Entertainment network and stars on NBC's new comedy, "Are You There Chelsea?" She is also the author of four books including "Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang" and "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea."
