Chelsea vs. Stoke City Live Stream: Watch Premier League Football Online
Chelsea hosts Stoke City on Saturday and will look to maintain their strong start to the new Premier League season.
There are several teams that could draw level or even pass the blues this week if they do not get the maximum three points. Manchester United and Manchester City are just two of the sides who are waiting should Chelsea stumble on Saturday. However, Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo is working with a virtually full and healthy squad and will be confident of getting the win.
The main doubt in Stamford Bridge surrounds the fitness of Daniel Sturridge after he was left out of the Champions League match against Juventus on Wednesday.
The west London club looked strong early on against Juventus with Oscar putting two goals in during the first half to top off his first full start since signing with Chelsea. But the side made a some key mistakes that allowed Juventus to pull level and those mistakes must be addressed before the whistle blows on Saturday.
Petr Cech has spoken highly of the young Brazilian ahead of today's game.
"It's great that everyone has seen that performance from him and they will quickly realize he is good value," Cech said during a press conference.
For Stoke, they head to Stamford Bridge still looking for their first win having drawn all four of their games so far this season. However, they have had some fantastic results, punching above their weight by getting draws against Manchester City and Arsenal so far, and have proven they are a side difficult to beat. But those good results against City and the Gunners came at home for Stoke and playing at Stamford Bridge will be an altogether different prospect.
Stoke Manager Tony Pulis will have his work cut out with a few players unavailable. Defender Andy Wilkinson will have to miss this fixture after being sent off last week against Manchester City, and Mamady Sidibe is doubtful due to a persistent groin injury he suffered while training. Jamie Ness is also doubtful with a groin injury.
Stoke look to end a spell of misfortune when they head to Stamford Bridge as the Potters have lost their last four Premier League matches there and have not won a League match at Chelsea since 1974.
Coverage for the match starts at 10:00 a.m. EST and can be watched online here.
