Chevelle Endures 'Anger Management' For Latest Video
"The Red" is the first song and video off Chevelle's CD, Wonder What's Next, which debuted at #14 its first week on Billboard charts. The video was shot at the First Baptist Church in downtown Los Angeles on May 10. It took more than 17 hours to shoot the whole thing.
The concept of the video comes from two sources: the fact that Sam Loeffler (the drummer) has a tendency to lose his temper, and a scene in High Fidelity where John Cusack imagines that he pummels a customer. In this video, the band is attending an anger management class, and the pressure on everyone in the meeting erupts to the point where they start smashing things - but in the end, it was all just in their heads.
