Chicago Bears Quarterback Mike Glennon in Danger of Losing Starting Quarterback Job

The season is still young, but it seems that Mike Glennon is already in danger of losing his starting job after a string of subpar performances.

Following their 35–14 loss to the Green Bay Packers last Thursday, reporters asked Chicago Bears head coach John Fox if he was going to consider benching Glennon in favor of rookie Mitchell Trubisky and he acknowledged that they would have to make some changes if they want to get back in the win column.

"We'll evaluate everything. We've got a lot of work to do before we line up against Minnesota Monday night and we're going to look at everything," Fox said, via ProFootballTalk.

However, Fox didn't exactly throw Glennon under the bus and he clarified that everybody would have to step up for them to win.

"It's (about) 11 people executing and doing their job. I think, as I've referenced, the quarterback gets a lot more credit and a lot more blame than they deserve. We're looking at everything and we're not in a big rush to do anything about it because we don't have a game until next Monday night," Fox said on Friday, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Right now, the Bears don't seem to know what they want to do with Glennon. He clearly didn't join them to become a transitional quarterback. He thought he was going to be the Bears' new franchise quarterback when they decided not to bring back with Jay Cutler. In fact, he was surprised when they selected Trubisky in this year's draft.

It has been reported that Bears general manager Ryan Pace promised Glennon the starting job, but they still have the right to relegate him to the bench if he underperforms.

Well, he has clearly failed to live up to expectations thus far, and now may be a good time to shake things up.
