However, the biggest question mark for the team is the health of Derrick Rose who has been injured on certain occasions that has resulted in his stock falling steadily.

He picked up another knock earlier with a broken facial bone but has made strides to correct that. Recent reports claim that he may be playing some minutes this match which is a good thing for Chicago fans.

Meanwhile, they have other players who can try and shoulder the load while Rose is limited.

Jimmy Butler has taken over as the team's leader and his steady improvement may see him as one of the elite guards in the league.

Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah are back again and are hoping to lead the Bulls towards a great regular season.

In the preseason, they have a 3-4 record so far, with their most recent win a 103-94 triumph against the Indiana Pacers.

Aaron Brooks was Chicago's best performer as the guard came off the bench to score 22 points and dish out six assists. With Rose still limited, he will probably see more action against the Mavericks.

For the West team, there have been a lot of changes. Players like Amare Stoudemire, Monta Ellis and Tyson Chandler are all gone, and new players like Zaza Pachulia, Wesley Matthews and Deron Williams have come in.

Dirk Nowitzki is still the team's focal point, but the Mavericks need their new players to step up.

So far in the preseason, they have not gotten a win and are 0-6 heading into the regular season next week.

Chemistry and fatigue may still be factors, but if the Mavericks want to move forward, they must solve this in the preseason and a win over the Bulls may go a long way.
