'Chicago Fire' Season 4 Episode 12 Spoilers: Herrmann Makes A Very Difficult Decision; Casey's Intentions Get Questioned

In this week's airing of NBC's hit action drama TV series "Chicago Fire" Season 4, fans will get to see Herrmann caught in a situation where he must make a very difficult decision that could either make or break someone else's life. Meanwhile, Casey's intentions get questioned by the public.

According to the episode synopsis posted over at The Futon Critic for "Not Everyone Makes It," Herrmann will head to court to testify against the person who attempted to take his life. For those who missed it, the Firehouse 51 personnel got stabbed back in "The Beating Heart" episode.  Fortunately, he survived the attack and lived to identify his would-be killer.

However, things might not turn out the way he expects it to as the perpetrator's father (played by Ski Carr) comes into the picture. As hinted by TFC, the old man will beg the victim for forgiveness for the fatal misdeeds of his son.

The firefighter is now confused with the thought that a man's life lies in his hands. If he decides to pursue the case, he would eventually lock away the person who seems to have the capability to hurt someone else. On the other hand, should he give in to the poor father's plea and let go of the tragedy, he will save the person from a brutal life in prison.

In another development, Casey will be attending a fundraising campaign which he will personally be involved with. Despite his good intentions, the TFC summary reported that his motives will be put into question. Will he pursue his humanitarian acts despite the doubts thrown at him? Or will he ignore the criticisms and continue to make sure that the helpless victims get the assistance they need?

Meanwhile, Dawson and Brett will realize the outcome of telling Boden about Chili's recent erratic behavior in the field. Severide, on his part, lends his assistance to Alex Ward in solving a case.

"Chicago Fire" Season 4 airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
