'Chicago Fire' Season 4 Episode 9 Spoilers: Chief Boden Faces Some Questions

The upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire" season 4 is expected to question the role of Chief Boden.

The previous episode of the series titled "When Tortoises Fly" saw Chief Boden, played by Eammon Walker, back and ready for action. The character just gained back his position as chief as he was recently involved in a scandal.

While he tried to clear his name, it was seen that he confronted Maddox, played by guest star Mark Hengst, about a certain issue. Apparently, he believes that it is Maddox who is responsible for the accusation said by Serena, played by Ilfenesh Hadera.

However, that was not his only problem. It was revealed that Boden also had to deal with his female neighbor, who was motivated to ruin his reputation. With that, the upcoming episode will see him trying to deal with the repercussions of her actions.

Since his position will be put in question, it was reported that Patterson will be left to fill in for Boden. It was said that it will be Severide, played by Taylor Kinney, who will be scrutinizing Boden after the bad press he received. He will be challenging the ability of Boden to keep his position and responsibilities.

Aside from that, Severide will also be dealing with trying to find Serena. He will be trying his best to find her with the help of Jamie, played by Rachel Nichols.

According to TV.com, the synopsis for the upcoming episode reads, "Patterson fills in for Boden, who's trying to clear his name; Severide learns where Serena may be hiding; Herrmann and Otis give Freddie a job that keeps him close by; and Jimmy and Chili draw more attention then either bargained for."

"Chicago Fire" season 4 episode 9 is expected to air on NBC this Dec. 8.
