'Chicago Fire' Season 5 Episode 16 Spoilers: Firehouse 51 Is Under Siege as Turf War Breaks Out

After putting out and surviving a huge fire that claimed the lives of more than 30 people, Firehouse 51 will once again be faced with a life-threatening challenge in the next episode of "Chicago Fire."

Boden's (Eamonn Walker) crew may have survived Anderson's (Michael Hanrahan) wrath, and one of the deadliest fires they have ever encountered. But nothing could've prepared them from a turf war that will quickly escalate into a hostage situation, especially when the unsuspecting hostages are none other than themselves.

When a turf war breaks out in the street, local armed gang members take refuge in and eventually control Firehouse 51, much to the surprise of both truck and squad members, who will find themselves stuck in the middle as hostages. To make matters worse, one of the infiltrators will be severely wounded and in need of immediate medical attention.

The episode title, "Telling Her Goodbye," may be in reference to one or all members of Firehouse 51 worrying if they will ever get a chance to say goodbye to their loved ones before the hostage situation gets completely out of control.

This seems like a line that Severide (Taylor Kinney) might say since being held hostage is the last thing he would ever want to be, especially after Anna (Charlotte Sullivan) just moved to Chicago to be with him. How will he and the rest of Firehouse 51 survive this dire situation? Will anybody's life be put on the line?

Find out when "Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 16 airs on Tuesday, March 21, at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.

In other news, "Rosewood" alum, Kamal Angelo Bolden, is all set to join the crew in the recurring role of a new firefighter named Kannell. According to Deadline, Kannell is "a charismatic, magnetic, fun-loving, positive, loyal firefighter with a million-dollar smile." His recurring stint could potentially be changed to a regular role if and when "Chicago Fire" gets renewed for a sixth season.
