'Chicago Fire' Season 6 Episode 3 Spoilers: New Boss to Cause Trouble for Brett and Dawson

Chief Wallace Boden's (Eamonn Walker) temporary replacement will cause a ruckus in Firehouse 51 in the upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire."

In the upcoming episode titled "An Even Bigger Surprise," the sneak peek shows Chief Mullins (guest star John Gatins) berating both Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Brett (Kara Killmer) for breaking the protocol. It seems like the paramedics have made the call to use only one ambulance to transfer both the victim of a car accident and the person who struck her. Due to the potential lawsuit that might befall the office, Mullins will decide to suspend the two until they complete an incident report.

Casey (Jesse Spencer) will try to come to his wife's aid, telling the chief that the women only made a judgment call to save lives. Mullins reminds him to stay in his lane and not meddle with someone else's business. The man also tells Casey that as long as he is only a lieutenant, he does not have a say in the higher up's decision-making process. Casey looks ready to answer back, but he reins in his temper before he gets in more trouble with Boden's sub.

Meanwhile, fans of Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) have been waiting to see more of the couple in the upcoming episodes. Last time, she went to him when she got evicted from her apartment. Severide gladly offered his ex-girlfriend space. Showrunner Derek Haas has told TVLine that Stella would take her time finding a new place. The character is said to be more than content to spend uninterrupted time with the lieutenant.

"Stella is going to be around for a while in his apartment. The search for a new apartment is not quite going as quickly as she imagined it would be. But there are definitely feelings there, certainly feelings her way toward Severide, and over the course of the season, maybe she's the one who can live up to the archetype in his mind of who he's looking for," the EP teased.

"Chicago Fire" season 6 airs Thursdays, at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
