Stone has strong evidence pertaining to the case, but the U.S. Department of Justice arrives and demands for him not to use the evidence because it is top secret. However, Stone defies the order and gets himself in trouble with his superior, State Attorney Mark Jefferies (Carl Weathers).

A teaser trailer for the next episode has also been released. It features Stone appearing in front of a court of law to fight for what he thinks is the right thing to do. When the victim is put through an x-ray, they discover a computer thumb drive in his stomach, which contains a video that shows a Navy SEAL mission. Stone deems it strong evidence, but the Department of Justice claims that the video belongs to the government.

"I didn't come here to allow killers to go free," Stone says in the teaser. "The video is in."

However, Jefferies does not agree and wants to obey the U.S. Department of Justice's orders. He even goes as far as to put Stone's job on the line.

"Do what I'm telling you or find a new job," Jefferies threatens his subordinate.

"Chicago Justice" season 1 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
