'Chicago P.D.' Season 4 Spoilers: Voight Stops Platt From Avenging Her Father's Death; Team Investigates Gang-Related Violence in a Concert
Voight will think that terrorists are the ones responsible for the shooting outside a concert.
The fourth episode of the police procedural drama series "Chicago P.D." Season 4 will deal with a shooting outside a concert that could be traced back to gang-related violence. The team initially thought that the violence was done by a terrorist group.
Bombing in the concert
Lindsay (Sophia Bush) responded to the scene with Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger). A car plowed through the crowd of concert goers after which shooting erupted. When the team could not confirm the motive behind the act of violence, Voight (Jason Beghe), in this upcoming episode of "Chicago P. D." Season 4, will ask assistance from the FBI, Homeland Security and the Customs since they did not discount the possibility that terrorists might be responsible for the shooting.
Burgess (Marina Squerciati) discovers Atwater's (LaRoyce Hawkins) brother Jordan (Ahmad Nicholas Ferguson) wandering somewhere he is not supposed to in the "Chicago P.D." Season 4 episode. Meanwhile, the police team decides to make use of their contacts and connections in order to prevent more bloodshed and bring peace to the city.
Voight threatens potential asset
The promo trailer for "Chicago P.D." Season 4 episode 4 shows Voight's team racing against the clock before the next violent attack happens. At the trailer's end, Voight can be seen questioning a potential asset in the case. He can also be seen threatening to harm the family of the man should he refuse to cooperate.
Taking justice in her own hands
In the previous episode of "Chicago P.D." Season 4, Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) survived a brutal attack but unfortunately, her father was not as lucky. She wanted to get justice in her own hands but Voight advised her to let the justice system take its course. Voight's advice is ironic since he is currently in trouble because he killed his son's murderer as an act of revenge.
Meanwhile, Morton revealed that she does not see a trial on her character's father's death playing out in "Chicago P.D." Season 4 but Platt will be somehow changed by her personal tragedy. Morton said that her character will be more empathic moving forward into the season.
Father's death changes Platt
Although she has always been empathic, it sometimes takes her a long time to get to that point. The event in "Chicago P.D." Season 4 will make her reach that in a little less time. Comparatively, Morton said that while it used to take the journey to empathy an entire episode, it will now only be a matter of seconds.
Platt's father died a rich man which Platt did not totally expect. Because of that, she is now rich beginning last episode of "Chicago P. D." Season 4. Viewers will have to stay tuned to know what that means for Platt in the series' future episodes.
The fourth episode of "Chicago P. D." Season 4 will air on October 12 on NBC. It is titled "Big Friends Big Enemies".
