Chick-fil-A Free Breakfast With Faith-Based Spirit of Generosity
Chick-fil-A is offering patrons free breakfast from Sept. 6-10, in a promotion that is causing quite a stir.
Mark Baldwin, Chick-fil-A spokesperson, told The Christian Post that the promotion will kick off the nationally televised Boise State and Georgia college football game. Aside from the beginning of college football season, Baldwin mentioned that the Christian-based fast food restaurant makes many decisions based on principles surrounding its faith.
“We have a spirit of generosity,” Baldwin said. “We do guide a lot of business decisions on faith-based principles.”
These principles have seemingly helped the company gain popularity. After the news of the free meal was released to the public, the fast-food restaurant’s website crashed due to an overwhelming response.
“A lot of traffic to chick-fil-aforbreakfast.com right now,” The website tweeted. “Bear with us as we get things back up and running. Sorry for the inconvenience!”
Aside from the website being down, some complained about issues with the lack of restaurant locations available for them to take part in the deal. Diggy Simmons, rapper and son of the Rev. Run, vocalized his frustrations with the lack of available locations on Twitter.
“Hi, a loyal and dedicated here,” Simmons wrote. “It would be greatly appreciated if you guys put some restaurants here in New York, Thank you.”
Although some fans of the restaurant may not be able to access it, those with access to eligible locations will be emailed a coupon once registered. After registering on the website for a reservation at a specific restaurant location, people will be able to choose from nine breakfast entrées.
Baldwin said the particular Labor Day week promotion is special, because of the vast array of menu options being offered.
“Most promotions have been centered around one product,” Baldwin told CP. “This is the first time we have had multiple menu options.”
The menu options will include the Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit, Spicy Chicken Biscuit, Sausage Biscuit, Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Minis (three-count), Chicken, Egg & Cheese Bagel, Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, Chicken Breakfast Burrito, Sausage Breakfast Burrito and the new Multigrain Oatmeal.
The oatmeal option was officially added in July to appease Chick-fil-A patrons looking for a healthier breakfast menu option. Interested individuals will have the option of choosing from a variety of toppings including cinnamon brown sugar, roasted mixed nuts and dried fruit.
Interested customers can log onto www.chick-fil-a.com/Home/Breakfast to find a location in which they are living or will travel to and make breakfast reservations.
