Chief Keef Responds to Jay-Z's 'Open Letter'
Chief Keef, the 17-year-old rapper born Keith Cozart, is speaking up about hip-hop mogul Jay-Z referencing the younger music artist in his recent release "Open Letter."
Jay-Z, 43, recorded "Open Letter" on Wednesday and released the track on Thursday morning where he addressed critics of his recent wedding anniversary trip to Cuba. While some critics claimed that the rapper could face fines or jail time for traveling to Cuba with his wife and singer Beyonce Knowles during a U.S. embargo of the country, the hip-hop mogul referenced while explaining his thoughts on the matter.
"Wanna give me jail time and a fine? Fine, let me commit a real crime," Jay-Z rapped on "Open Letter." "Might buy a kilo for Chief Keef, out of spite, I just might flood these streets."

Chief Keef caught wind of the song and took to Twitter to respond to the reference.
"Salute Jay Z King Of This (Expletive)," Keef tweeted.
The younger Chicago native and rapper went on to repeat a line from Jay-Z's latest release on the social networking website.
"Fine let me commit a real crime, "Keef tweeted.
Chief Keef was recently released from a juvenile detention center after violating his juvenile probation stemming from pointing a gun at Chicago police officers. Keef fired a rifle at a New York gun range last summer which was filmed and named a violation of his probation, according to a Chicago Tribune report.
However, he was not the only person mentioned in Jay-Z's latest release. The President of the United States of America was also mentioned in the latest release from the hip-hop mogul.
"Boy from the hood but got White House clearance," the rapper born Shawn Carter rhymed on "Open Letter." "Obama said chill, you gonna get me impeached / You don't need this (expletive) anyway, chill with me on the beach."
