Chris Brown, Frank Ocean Fight: History Behind 2-Year Feud
Chris Brown and Frank Ocean were involved in a violent brawl allegedly over a parking space on Sunday. While many were shocked over the incident, fans claim that the confrontation has been a long time coming.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating the disturbing incident following claims that the singers came to blows at L.A.'s Westlake Studio after Ocean allegedly confronted Brown, who was reportedly on his way out.
"This is my studio, this is my parking spot," Ocean reportedly yelled at Brown.
Members of both entourages reportedly became violent prompting a total of six people, including Ocean and Brown, to engage in a brawl. It is understood that both singers directly exchanged blows.
Ocean, 25, claims that he was "jumped" by Brown, but friends of Brown claim that the "Sweet Life" singer was the instigator.
Police were called and Ocean, who remained at the scene, gave a statement to police. Brown, who was not present, is reportedly wanted for questioning, according to TMZ.com.
"The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement released Monday.
Both singers have reportedly been clashing since 2011 after Brown compared Ocean to singer-songwriters James Fauntleroy and Kevin Cossum.
"I f— with Frank Ocean! Reminds me of a young James Fauntleroy or Kevin Cossum," Brown tweeted.
Ocean, who evidently took offense to the tweet, responded by saying Brown reminded him "of a young sisqo or ike turner." He later tweeted that he"dont like underhanded comments."
Brown, who appeared to be stunned by Ocean's jab, insisted that his initial tweet "was a compliment …. Everybody claim to be the devil till they meet him."
Months later in July 2012, reports claiming that Brown had ridiculed Ocean's sexuality surfaced. On July 4, Ocean revealed that he is bisexual, which shocked the hip-hop community.
Days later, a paparazzi photographer claimed he had spotted Brown outside of a Cannes nightclub and that he asked the singer for his thoughts on Ocean's revelation. The photographer told media outlets that Brown gave a sordid response.
"Man, no homo!" Brown allegedly shot back. The singer eventually took to Twitter to deny the paparazzi's claims, though.
"People are so simple minded and immature. Are we still in 'mental highschool'? My Opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is ……… It's ur decision. People stop searching for BS. Everyone is so quick to point the wrong fingers at each other! Ask urself… Am I Doing everything I can to help the world ????" Brown tweeeted.
