Chris Brown Has Proof He Didn't Violate Probation?
Chris Brown is reportedly under investigation for his alleged involvement in a recent hit-and-run car accident, however, the 24-year-old singer and his legal representatives may be able to refute the claims that could potentially send him to jail.
While Brown is currently serving probation after physically assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, TMZ reported that he could face up to four years in jail if an investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department finds that he did not fully disclose information to the driver of the car that he hit with his Range Rover on May 21.
However, Brown's lawyers are insisting that the singer did not inflict damage on the driver of the Mercedes, and sources are claiming that he actually provided appropriate insurance information, according to TMZ. The entertainment website also reported that Brown's lawyer has been attempting to reach the female driver of the Mercedes, but the woman has hung up the phone and failed to return calls.
Although multiple media sources have reported that Brown was under investigation by the LAPD, TMZ is now reporting that California law enforcement officials have yet to contact the singer. Photographs have surfaced of Brown's on-and-off again love interest Karrueche Tran taking pictures of the car that the singer hit, since she was riding with him during the accident, according to entertainment blogger Necole Kane.
Sources close to the singer reportedly told TMZ that the photographs taken at the scene proves that Brown did not damage the car he hit, which provide further evidence that he has not violated any terms of his probation.
Brown is gearing up to release his sixth studio album "X" on July 16.
