Chris Brown Hit-and-Run? Singer Under Investigation for Providing False Information

Singer and entertainer Chris Brown is reportedly under investigation stemming from a hit-and run on May 21.

Reports indicate that the 24-year-old rear-ended another driver but allegedly refused to give the other driver his driver's license information and valid insurance information.

Brown was driving a Range Rover when he inflicted "medium damage" on a Mercedes while cruising in Toluca Lake, according to a report from celebrity entertainment website TMZ. Brown, who did not try and flee the scene, is still on probation for beating Rihanna back in 2009.

Should investigators find evidence that the singer left the scene without fully disclosing all relevant information, the court could find him in violation of his probation and he could face a prison term of up to four years.

Nor Brown or his spokesperson has yet to issue a statement regarding the situation.

Brown is said to be living with Karrueche Tran once again after splitting from Rihanna again. Tran was traveling with the singer in his vehicle and reportedly took photographic evidence of the incident.

Tran is thought to have moved most of her clothing and other personal belongings into his Hollywood Hills home, as reported by TMZ.

Tran has been in and out of a relationship with Brown who has previously been reported to be involved with Rihanna, 25.

The incident has fueled rumors of a reconciliation between the exes, just weeks after Brown announced his split from Rihanna.

"The way I look at it is, I'm always going to love that person, but people have differences, and people have different wants and needs, at the end of the day she's a young girl," Brown told Australian radio hosts Kyle & Jackie O about Rihanna.

"I can't really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young, and I'm young too," he added.
