Chris Brown Pink Twitter Feud Escalates Over Lip Sync (VIDEO)
Chris Brown has responded to criticisms about lip-syncing during his performance at Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards.
"Don't hold ya breath waiting for me to stop doing me!" Brown tweeted later, adding that "anyone who is upset obviously is upset with their lives... Make your music...make a difference.. Be better than me! Godbless!"
The 23-year-old took to the stage to perform his single "Turn Up The Music," and despite receiving a standing ovation from fans in the crowd, Brown was condemned by critics including singer Pink and Joe Jonas.
"One day if i lip-sync, i hope i do it as well as him," Pink wrote via her Twitter account.
Fans of Brown immediately lashed out at the 32-year-old mother, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, which prompted another tweet.
"Oh my lord, its so easy…its so damn easy. Keep it coming people, this is some good reading," she tweeted.
Pink's husband, Carey Hart, also joined in on the Twitter bashing, suggesting that Brown's performance was copied from his wife.
"Im pretty sure I saw my wife did that same performance, but she was 3 months pregnant and actually sang the song," Hart tweeted before addressing one of his fellow bikers. "If any of your guys are riding on Chris Brown performance, please fire them."
Joe Jonas, from the Jonas Brothers, also took to Twitter to post a cryptic tweet about Brown's performance.
"What happened to people singing live???" Jonas tweeted.
Despite the few criticisms, Brown received widespread applause for his energetic performance and took home Billboard's "Top R&B Artist" award.
In February Brown won a Grammy award for best R&B album for his fourth album F.A.M.E. and responded to critics who complained about his win.
"HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That's the ultimate ---- OFF," Brown tweeted.
