Chris Brown Tweets About Love, Rihanna Drama After Failed Relationship
Chris Brown recently took to social networking site Twitter where he weighed in on relationships following his split from Rihanna.
The Grammy award-winning singer, 24, shared wisdom regarding love and relationships with his 12 million followers on Monday and some are now questioning whether the post was aimed at Rihanna. In May, the pair split after dating on-and-off for five years and critics continue to speculate what exactly went wrong, Brown appears to have finally shed light on why he and the Bajan singer did not work out.
"How do u build a house without a foundation???? Friendship brings the trust and love stronger. You have to like a person to love them!" Brown tweeted August 5.
The cryptic tweet came two weeks after Rihanna shared a candid message on Instagram which was aimed at an ex-boyfriend.
"I hate when exes say, 'I'm here if you need me.' Where the f--- were you when we were together and I needed you?" Rihanna wrote July 23.
Brown and Rihanna ended their tumultuous relationship shortly after his May 5 birthday and sources cited the singer secretly spending time with model Karrueche Tran as the reason behind the split. He confirmed split reports in a candid interview.
"The way I look at it is, I'm always going to love that person, but people have differences, and people have different wants and needs, at the end of the day she's a young girl," Brown told Australian radio hosts Kyle & Jackie O about Rihanna. "I can't really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young, and I'm young too."
For several months Brown, Rihanna and Tran have been involved in a bizarre love triangle which at one point or another has left all of them broken-hearted. A source claims the drama has taught Rihanna a lot about the importance of having trust in a relationship.
"[Rihanna] learned that without trust, you ain't got s---. You have to trust the guy you're with and vice-versa. When trust is gone, everything is bad. And that's something that's hard as f--- to repair," a source told HollywoodLife.com.
"It can be done, but both people have to be mature and willing to work on it. It's not possible if only one person puts in the work," the source explained.
