Chris Brown Twitter Post Highlights Bible Verse, Singer Directs 13M Followers to 1 Peter 5:7
Chris Brown is back on Twitter giving advice to over 13 million followers. Brown, 24, has been serving a 90-day stint in a rehabilitation facility after he was accused of assaulting one man who wanted his picture while the singer was visiting the capital city to perform last October. The singer and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy reportedly got into an altercation in front of the W Hotel in the city.
Brown initially spoke about his decision to check into a rehabilitation facility to work on some of the anger issues that the public has witnessed. The singer made national headlines after he physically assaulted ex-girlfriend and singer Rihanna in 2009, which he is currently serving probation for. Since that assault, Brown has made headlines for allegedly engaging in other physical altercations, including those with fellow entertainers Frank Ocean and Drake.
While Brown's Twitter account has focused mostly on promoting his music and clothing line he has found time to share some of his innermost thoughts and insights with fans while in rehab.
"We can't control other people," he tweeted recently. "We only can control ourselves."
Since 2014, it seems Brown has been focused on tweeting a more positive message following a year when he seemed to lash out on the social networking website on countless occasions.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you - 1Peter 5:7," Brown tweeted Jan. 31, days after tweeting, "Believe it is possible and make it happen."
Last month, Brown also shared other positive messages with fans in the form of advice.
"Make the best with what you have," he tweeted. "Work hard to be the best and appreciate everyone on the way to the top! Never forget who you are and who supported you to get there."
