Chris Rock News: Actor-Comedian Shreds 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' to Pieces

With the mixed reviews about the still-showing "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," actor and comedian Chris Rock is apparently on the side of those who find the movie in their bad graces. Speaking at the Tribeca Film Festival last week, Rock did not mince his words as he criticized the Zack Snyder movie in the course of talking about the challenges that come with directing franchise films.

"Did you see that Superman Batman shit?" What the f*** was that? I can't say anything, they weren't going to cast me anyway," he said.

Rock continued shredding "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" to pieces, saying that it is almost impossible for a human without superpowers like Batman to fight Superman, regardless of what armory he has.

"Superman can't fight a guy that drives a car. He gets a flat. Like he's going to fight Superman. Needs AAA, but yeah, he can fight Superman. He's got jumper cables, and he's going to fight Superman," he said.

Despite a strong showing at the box office during its first weekend opening, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" experienced a plunge at the tills the week after its opening and the weeks after that. While it's true that the movie has already raked in almost $830 million as its worldwide gross, it is still short of millions for it to hit the $1 billion that Warner Bros. has aimed at.

Apparently, the negative reviews that the movie earned from the critics have taken a toll at its box office performance. Among the criticisms hurled at the movie, one of the most commonly said is that Snyder failed to pull together its complex storyline.

Apart from criticizing "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," rock also lashed out at the recent movie adaptations of the Fantastic Four, stressing how much he loves the team of superheroes. With the many superhero films falling in the bad graces of the moviegoers, Rock gave the crowd an advice on how not to feel disappointed after leaving the theaters.

"Go see that Disney animated movie. They don't let you down," Rock said.
