3. Four arrests made
At least four people were arrested, three of whom authorities believe to be connected to the attacks, according to Ardern.
One has been charged with murder. Two others were arrested for possessing firearms and their involvement is being investigated.
According to New Zealand Police Commissioner Mike Bush, a fourth person arrested might have nothing to do with the attack.
The man who was charged with murder is a 28 year old identified as an Australian man. According to media reports, the suspect's name is Brenton Tarrant. He is due to appear in the Christchurch District Court on Saturday morning.
