'Christian Artist Talent Search' Set to Begin Fifth Season
The Inspiration Network has begun accepting entries for the fifth season of its popular talent discovery program "Christian Artist Talent Search" (C.A.T.S).
The series, which debuted in 2003 before Fox's "American Idol," gives soloists and groups from around the country a chance to compete for a contract with a national recording label. Anyone 15 or older can enter C.A.T.S with all forms of Christian music being acceptable including gospel, contemporary, southern gospel, rock, and rap/hip-hop.
"During the first four years of C.A.T.S., we have witnessed extraordinary talent with entries from every part of the country," said Fred Shaheen, Senior Producer. "We believe that in the fifth season, we will continue to see the best Christian talent the country has to offer, and C.A.T.S. provides them the platform to showcase their talent."
To qualify for C.A.T.S, contestants must submit a CD or audiocassette with two Christian songs, two copies of a recent photo, and two copies of their biography. Contestants can visit www.insp.com to sign up and view rules and regulations for the competition. Entries will be accepted until Apr. 21, 2006.
The fifth season of C.A.T.S is scheduled to air beginning January 2007.
