Christian Evangelical Vote Key to Election

Reports of Bush¡¯s victory cautiously crept in through media outlets Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. Although nothing was settled or conceded by morning, most political analysts said they were ¡°convinced that President Bush had won.¡± Many indications showed that the key factor for this election was the evangelical vote.

Evangelicals, 75 percent of whom said they would vote for Bush prior to the Election Day, was also the backbone to successfully passing all 11 state constitutional amendments to protect traditional marriage.

Marriage amendments were passed in Oregon, Ohio, Michigan, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Utah, Georgia, Kentucky, Arkansas and Mississippi.
