Christian leaders react to Biden's inauguration: Praying for the country 'knows no politics'
Franklin Graham
Franklin Graham, a staunch supporter of Trump's conservative policies, took to his official Facebook page to urge Christians not to resort to violent protests in response to the inauguration.
“Today as our country inaugurates a new president, there are concerns that there could be violence in Washington, DC, and in state capitals across the nation,” he posted.
“I encourage Christians to make this a day of prayer — for peace and calm, and praying for our new leaders, President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.”
Graham, who has previously claimed that Trump will go down as one of the best presidents in U.S. history, also posted a message of thanks to the former president.
“Thank you Mr. President and First Lady Melania for these last four years and all that you have done for our nation," wrote Graham. "May God be with you and your family as you open a new chapter in your lives."
