Christian-Themed Game Adam's Venture Chronicles PS3 Release Set for February
A new Christian-themed game titled Adam's Venture Chronicles will be released on the PS3 next month.
The game's launch was announced by its developer Vertigo Games and Playlogic earlier this week. The series was exclusive to PC and will now be available on a home console for the first time.
Adam's Venture Chronicles for the PS3 features three episodes that have never been in previous iterations including The Search for the Lost Garden, Solomon's Secret, and Revelation. The games have been "polished and optimized," according to the developers.
The game will be reasonably priced at $12 and will officially launch for the PS3 on Feb. 4. It will also be released in Europe and PlayStation Plus members will be able to save 20 percent off the title for a limited time. All three of these episodes can be purchased on Steam for $13.
Adam's Venture Chronicles parallels the smash Uncharted series on the PS3 as these games also follow a young explorer, except this one is named Adam and he is working to make new discoveries in the 1920s. He is accompanied by a companion named Evelyn who helps him find ancient artifacts and outsmart a rival known as Clarivoix Corporation.
The game runs on the Unreal Engine 3, which is the same technology that is used in BioShock Infinite and Mass Effect 3 along with a lot of others. Adam's creators claim there is over 10 hours worth of gameplay and over 60 puzzles to solve.
Christian-based gaming meshes the reality of Christ and the Bible with a creative and interactive universe where players can engage in traditional activities such as fights, puzzle solving, and conquering different areas of the map.
Various Christian games have launched for many of the consoles in the past including the NES, SNES and PS2.
