Christian Woman Fired After Faith Defense Deemed Anti-Muslim
A Christian woman has been fired from her job after allegedly defending herself from what she believed to be anti-Christian abuse from her Muslim co-workers.
Nohad Halawi, who worked at London’s Heathrow airport for 13 years was immediately suspended following complaints made by five Muslim employees after they accused her of making anti-Islamic remarks.
Halawi who is originally from Lebanon said, "I have been sacked on the basis of unsubstantiated complaints so there is now great fear amongst my former colleagues that the same could happen to them if one of the Muslims turn on them,” according to The Telegraph.

Many are outraged at Halawi’s dismissal, particularly her former co-workers (some of which are Muslim) who have signed a petition in her defense.
In a press release from the Christian Legal Center, Chief Executive Andrea Minichiello wrote, “Nohad’s case is one of the most serious we have ever handled. It raises huge issues.”
He continued, “First, there is the level of Islamic fundamentalism prevalent at our main point of entry to the UK. Secondly, there are very real issues of religious discrimination, which it would appear those in authority are turning a blind eye to...”
Halawi has denied any wrong doing and insisted she “had persistently complained to management over personal religious abuse and harassment from Islamic staff, who even mocked her about “shitty Jesus.”
Halawi alleged she was harassed by Muslim "extremists" after one man allegedly brought in the Koran suggesting she read it, and others made fun of Christians who wore crosses.
The incident has sparked online racial and religious debates, with an overwhelming number of users showing support for Halawi who they identify as the victim of “religious hate.”
Halawi has expressed her disappointment saying, "This is supposed to be a Christian country, but the law seems to be on the side of the Muslims."
Halawi, her co-workers, and her lawyers are determined in their fight to bring her justice.
