Christians in Nepal Protest Against Bomb Attack
Christians in Nepal on Sunday staged a protest rally against the bomb attack on a prominent church in Lalitpur last week.
At least 400 Christians were attending the service at Assumption Church in Dhobighat when the blast went off on May 23.
To condemn the incident and call for an immediate probe, hundreds of Christians joined the rally in Maitighar Mandala, Kathmandu.

The rally was organised jointly by Assumption Church family, the Christian Suggestion Committee for New Constitution and various Christian organisations.
During the rally, the demonstrators urged the government to provide adequate security to the minorities and also demanded that a high level committee be formed to investigate the explosion.
Meanwhile, an Indian woman who sustained serious injuries in the blast died while undergoing treatment at the Patan Hospital.
With the death of Grihalaxmi Joshi, the number of those killed in the blast has reached three. The other two who were killed are also Indian nationals hailing from Patna in Bihar.
Although nobody so far has been arrested in connection with the bomb attack, a Hindu extremist group called Nepal Defence Army (NDA) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The extremist group also in a statement released on May 29, said, "We want all the 1 million Christians out of the country, if not we will plant 1 million bombs in all the houses where Christians live and detonate them."
Nepal's newly elected prime minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal, visited the church and have met with injured people in hospital.
"The attack was highly deplorable. Investigations are going on and the guilty will be brought to book," he told reporters.
