'Chronos Ruler' Episode 13 Spoilers: Can Victo and His Team Take Aiks Down in Upcoming Finale?

The final battle for time continues on the upcoming final episode of the Japanese fantasy anime series, "Chronos Ruler." Did Aiks' attack take Victo down for good?

The previous episode saw Victo triumphing over his personal desire to keep Couljours as it is under the influence of the sentient Horologue, Aiks. No matter how much he wanted to keep the town in the past, and thus also keep his father and mother alive, his duty as a Chronos Ruler prevailed, and he gave his all into breaking the spell that has kept Couljours from moving forward in time.

But it soon became apparent that things are still far from being over. After Victo talked to his mother one last time and found out that Eve has known he was her grown-up son all along, Aiks appeared yet again to re-ignite his experiment and bring Victo's mother back.

However, Victo has already had enough of Aiks' meddling and was soon caught in a battle with the Horologue who could only have a vague concept of the human fear and could never really feel any kind of emotion at all.

Also, one good thing that came out of Victo's final conversation with his mother is bound to resonate through the rest of his days and perhaps even make him more open to working with his companions and sharing his thoughts and ideas with them.

For a very long time, he believed that being a victor meant that he was able to fight his own battles without having to rely on anyone. But Eve has told him that being a victor was all about willingly sharing himself to his friends and relying on each other in the most difficult times. For a man who can be brave enough to accept his weakness is the true victor.

The final episode is coming up, and it seems that Aiks may just be too powerful for Victo and the rest of his team to defeat. Moreover, it seems that Aiks may have just dealt a rather deadly attack on Victo, judging from Kiri's scream of terror by the end of the previous episode.

What happened to Victo? Did he successfully block Aiks' power, or was he consumed by it instead? Also, if and when they survive this intense final battle with the Horologue that seems to have started it all, will Victo be open enough to finally be a father to his son, Kiri?

"Chronos Ruler" airs on Fridays late night at 12:30 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX and BS 11. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes are also available for selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
