Church Vandalized With Maple Syrup, PA Vandals Being Investigated
A group of Pennsylvania hooligans recently vandalized a Pottstown Catholic Church by squirting maple syrup into the pews and onto the church floor.
This incident occurred on June 10 at Saint Thomas More Roman Catholic Church located in Pottstown Pike, Penn. Investigators believe the vandals entered into the church through an unlocked door and once they got inside they discharged several fire extinguishers throughout the building and followed that with a breakfast product onslaught.
The suspects also stole a bottle of altar wine before fleeing the scene, according to officials. Police are urging anyone with information on these hooligans to contact them immediately. The investigation is still ongoing.

The motivation behind the vandalism is also still unclear at this time. Religious organizations and businesses are sometimes targeted due to differences in beliefs.
Back in August, Chick-fil-A, a restaurant chain unashamed of its Christian roots, was targeted by a 30-year old gay artist named Manuel Castro who painted the words "Tastes Like Hate" on the side of one of their locations in southern California.
The man actually ended up stepping forward and turning himself in shortly after defacing the building. He painted the message on the eve of "National Same-Sex Kiss Day," which was organized in response to comments made by Chick-fil-A's president Dan Cathy. Cathy supports traditional marriage.
Castro also was unashamed of his actions, deeming them as more of a protest than vandalism.
"It got removed in less than an hour," said Castro to The Huffington Post. "It's not that much of a crime-- it's a protest. It was meant to further a discussion about tolerance and acceptance. My Facebook wall was simply not large enough to do this."
He also claimed to be a Christian.
