Churches Respond to Hurricane Charley
Churches have been an integral part of the relief efforts in Florida, where the Category 4 hurricane Charley left 16 dead, hundreds missing and thousands homeless. By Sunday, thousands of Floridians came out to worship in makeshift sanctuaries, in parking lots, community centers and in courtyards to lift up songs of praise with teary eyes. Alongside providing spiritual comfort to victims, Churches have been at the center of relief operations, providing water, shelter, blankets and hot meals throughout the weekend.
