Ciara News: Pregnant Singer Caught in a Minor Car Crash; Assures Fans She and Her Baby are Fine

Singer-songwriter Ciara, who is currently in her third trimester of pregnancy, was caught in a minor car accident last week. She assured fans, shortly after the incident, that she and her unborn child are doing fine.

According to E! News, a representative for Ciara confirmed that the singer was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles, California on Friday that was first reported by TMZ.

E! News mentioned that Ciara was driving a white Mercedes Benz sports utility vehicle. She was making a left turn when a gray Volvo hit the rear of the singer's car.

The report also mentioned that the driver of the Volvo was wrongfully driving on the side of the road exclusively for buses. Witnesses likewise say that Ciara stayed cool and calm while dealing with the entire situation.

An E! News source shared that the Volvo driver appeared "more stunned" while Ciara did not show any ounce of panic. In the end, Ciara and the unidentified Volvo driver "shook hands and were nice to each other." There was no drama involved.

Shortly after the incident, Ciara tweeted, "Thankful For Gods Grace, and Amniotic Fluid."

Amniotic fluid is something that surrounds an unborn child inside the mother's womb. Its main function is to protect the fetus from any physical shock that might hit the uterus area or the mother's body. It also keeps the baby in the right temperature and makes it easier for a fetus to move around.

Ciara's husband, National Football League player Russell Wilson has also told fans through Twitter that his wife and baby suffered no injury, saying: "Momma Wilson & Baby Wilson are feeling great! God is good!"

Ciara is currently carrying her first child with Wilson. In an earlier interview with HarpersBazaar.com, Ciara revealed how intensely excited her husband is about their upcoming child, sharing: "He'll randomly pull my shirt up and be like, 'I want to see the baby. Hello, baby. How you doing, baby? I love you, baby. OK, talk to you later, baby. Bye, bye,'" she gushes. "Then he'll kiss me on my belly and put my shirt back down."
