Ciara Sued by Gay Bar in West Hollywood, Singer Served Papers While Performing at Event (VIDEO)
The popular singer canceled an appearance at a Los Angeles club, causing the club's owners to file legal papers over an apparent breach of contract.
Ciara was served papers during her performance at LA Pride on Saturday night after canceling a scheduled appearance at a Los Angeles gay bar that was scheduled over this weekend.
The incident was captured on camera and showed the "Goodies" singer performing on stage when a woman reached out from the crowed and handed her the papers.

The singer, while still performing, quickly glanced at the papers and then threw them back into the crowd. The video was published by entertainment website TMZ early Sunday morning.
Local reports indicate that Ciara was supposed to perform at an event at West Hollywood's popular club, The Factory. However, Ciara's reps revealed that they had previously contacted the club and stated the singer would not be able to attend. The event was promoted anyway, and the club is suing the singer for breach of contract.
"Ciara's commitment to perform at L.A. Gay Pride on Saturday night prevented her from making such a Friday night appearance," a rep for Ciara reportedly told TMZ.
"Despite being notified early last week that Ciara could not appear, The Factory continued to market and promote Ciara's appearance. The reason for the continued marketing/promotion is unclear, as it is not known why The Factory would intend to continue to mislead the public, to cause damage to the L.A. Gay Pride festival and to attempt to portray Ciara in a negative light."
