Cincinnati have been very impressive as the closest in the AFC North are the Pittsburgh Steelers who sport a 4-4 record.

Even below the Steelers are the Browns with a 2-6 record and have dropped their last three matches.

Those losses may have come against top competition as Cleveland dropped a close game against the Broncos before being thrashed by the resurging St. Louis Rams.

In their last performance, they played the Arizona Cardinals and were dealt a big 34-20 loss.

Against Arizona, Cleveland were playing well in the first half of the game as the score was tied at 7-7 after the first quarter.

Then, Cleveland went on to outscore the Cardinals 13-3 in the second quarter thanks to two touchdown passes from Josh McCown to Gary Barnidge and Brian Hartline as the half ended 20-10 in favour of Cleveland.

Unfortunately, Cleveland collapsed in the third quarter, allowing Arizona to score 14 unanswered points to take the lead.

Then their defence failed as the unanswered points extended to 24 until the final buzzer.

Meanwhile, the Bengals have looked very impressive so far, scoring at least 24 points in their first six matches.

When they had a bye week in week seven, many thought they would cool down but a big 16-10 win over the Steelers showed that they are serious contenders this season.

In the win, the Bengals defence forced three interceptions on Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Andy Dalton's connection with AJ Green for a touchdown and a Mike Nugent field goal at the last quarter gave Cincinnati the big comeback.
