Cleveland Cavaliers News 2017: Team Holds Meeting to Discuss Losing Streak

Fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers might have noticed by now that their favorite team has gotten off to a slow start as they recently lost four games in a row, as of this writing.

More than anyone else, the Cavaliers know that some things need to be addressed. This was why they recently called for a much-needed "air-it-out" meeting, according to a report by ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

According to the report, the team held the said meeting before starting their practice on Tuesday. While ESPN's source shared that the gathering was productive with mostly everyone sharing their thoughts, the team and their fans have yet to reap its results as they lost the following game against the Indiana Pacers, 107-124, on Wednesday night.

Before losing to Indiana, the Cavaliers had also suffered consecutive losses to the New York Knicks (95-114), the New Orleans Pelicans (101-123) and the Brooklyn Nets (107-112). They did enjoy a win against the Chicago Bulls (119-112) prior to their current losing streak, but before that, they were also defeated by the Orlando Magic (93-114).

The Cavaliers now stand with a 3 wins and 5 losses record.

Meanwhile, team coach Tyronn Lue maintained that his players "got great chemistry" and "great bond" especially off the court. However, he added: "Just, on the court we just got to be better. Like, talking, communicating, enjoying the game together. Having fun. ... Right now guys are not having fun."

Coming off their fourth straight game loss, LeBron James told the press: "We have an opportunity to be very good and then you see some of the lulls that we have and it's just very difficult on our team right now."

He added: "We're just trying to figure it out on the fly. ... So, our team is kind of depleted as well, both on and off the floor."

Unfortunately, the team is down one man again as Tristan Thompson suffered a left calf injury during their game against Indiana. He left the court at second quarter and was not able to return. According to reports, he is set for an MRI evaluation on Thursday but might not be back for the next couple of games.

Despite losing for the fourth straight time, Lue thinks the team performed better than the previous games but added: "We just couldn't sustain it."

The Cavaliers are set to face the Washington Wizards on Nov. 3, Friday, at 7 p.m. EDT in Washington, D.C.
