The Warriors are still poised to win their second consecutive game while the Cavs are expected to up their game.
The Golden State Warriors bagged Game 1 of this year's NBA Finals with a wide lead versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now that Game 2 is here, will they do it again or will the Cavs take it from here?
For Sunday night's game, the Warriors are still favored to win and take a 2-0 lead in the Finals series, Bleacher Report noted. They showed great teamwork during the first game with a 104-89 win even though star players Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson did not perform as expected.
On the other hand, LeBron James and two other Cavs stars, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, scored double digits for the team, but it was still not enough to match the teamplay that the Warriors displayed.

However, Yahoo Sports did not see that James' team gave away Game 1. Instead, the publication noted that the Cavs were actually successful in preventing Curry and Thompson shoot at their best.
But the Warriors had more than just their two shooters, they also had efficient bench players. When it comes to the energy in the court, the Warriors also outclass the Cavs with their player lineup. The same report highlighted that Cleveland should try to lead, maintain it and prepare for a comeback from the Warriors because they have done that in their past games.
Cleveland fans are expecting the team to start the game stronger and make good use of their three big players and their respective skill sets. The Cavs certainly need to up their offense and target every single player on the Warriors team to take this second game of the finals.
According to The Week, the Warriors will have more support from their homecourt as they host the Cavs for Sunday's game. They would have more fans cheering for them to win two consecutive games for this series.
But ESPN's Zach Lowe noted that James could be motivated to really take his team to a win versus the Warriors for the second game. "A [Finals] win would bring James closer to equilibrium with plenty of years ahead, and given the juggernaut opposition, it would almost count double. LeBron cares about that stuff, and that should scare the Warriors," Lowe added in his report.
