It's an Eastern Conference battle as the Cleveland Cavaliers host the New York Knicks at the Quicken Loans Arena in the regular season of the National Basketball Association.

The match is on December 23, 2015 at 7:00 PM ET.

Both teams are performing as expected as the season continues to roll on, with the Cavaliers leading their respective division, while the Knicks are hovering in the middle of their group in the East.

At the moment, the Cavaliers are at 18-7 and are atop the Central Division of the Eastern Conference. Chasing them are the Indiana Pacers who are 3.0 games behind, while the Detroit Pistons are also in the chase in the Central.

Meanwhile, the Knicks are third in the Atlantic Division with a 14-15 record and are only 3.5 games behind leaders, the Toronto Raptors. The Boston Celtics are doing well in second place and hold a 1.5 game advantage over the Knicks as of this writing.

The two teams are scheduled to meet four times this year and have already duelled twice so far – with the Cavaliers getting both wins.

In the first game, the match was played in Ohio where the Knicks went on to lead early 32-18 at the end of the first quarter. However, the Cavaliers battled back and outscored the Knicks in the final three periods to win 96-86.

Mo Williams was the surprise star for Cleveland as he had 22 points, six rebounds and four assists in the victory, while Carmelo Anthony had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

In their next match, the site was changed to the Madison Square Garden but the result remained the same as Cleveland won 90-84.

Things were much closer and the Knicks had the lead entering the fourth quarter but failed to capitalize as they only scored 12 points to concede another loss.

LeBron James led the Cavs here with 31 points, while Anthony had 26 in the defeat.
