'Clueless' Reunion: Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash and More Together Again
"Clueless" stars Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Elisa Donovan and more reunited this week, over a decade after the film first hit theaters.
The cast members from the 1995 cult classic attended a screening of the film at the L.A. Film Festival on Tuesday, May 6 where "fans went wild," an attendee told Us Weekly. Silverstone, who portrayed Cher Horowitz in the film, sat alongside cast mates Dash (Dionne Davenport) and Donovan (Amber Mariens) as well as creator/director Amy Heckerling during a Q&A.
"I am so lucky that they were all out there at the time," Heckerling recalled of the cast during Tuesday's event. "I say the 'Cryin' video for Aerosmith and when Alicia gave the finger, I said, 'There's my girl.'"
Silverstone appeared in several Aerosmith music videos ahead of her role in "Clueless," including "Crazy" and "Amazing." For her part, the actress said portraying Cher in the film was "wonderful" and "so much fun," according to Us Weekly.
"I thought I was channeling Marilyn Monroe and Lucille Ball, and obviously that wasn't the case," the 37-year-old actress recalled of her role in the movie when she was just 18. "But I just felt like that! Especially when I pushed [Elton] off [of me at a house party], those were the things that I found lovely."
Heckerling went on to recall casting Dash in the role of Cher's best friend Dionne.
"I wanted somebody that seemed like she was royalty and she can easily be government," the creator explained.
"We had so much fun," Dash added. "[Heckerling] had such a clear vision and she was able to translate it to us perfectly."
While many of the "Clueless" cast mates were in attendance Tuesday, the father of the late Brittany Murphy, Angelo Bertolotti, attended in his daughter's place.
