Coachella 2017 Lineup News, Updates: Lady Gaga Replaces Beyoncé; Adds Event to Busy 'Joanne' World Tour

Everyone knows 2017 is going to be an incredibly busy year for Lady Gaga, especially with her announced "Joanne" World Tour. Apparently, there is some room left to bring in yet another huge spectacle, which is no less than the Coachella 2017.

As per Billboard, the singer-and-actress rolled into one is going to replace Beyoncé, who was originally slated to perform during the two weekends on April 15 and 22 at Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California. Beyoncé will already be in her third trimester during those dates, and with twins it is going to be a delicate pregnancy. She will, instead, be performing in Coachella 2018.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has confirmed her participation in the said musical merriment in a tweet she posted last Feb. 28 with the caption, "Let's party in the desert!" She is headlining two Saturdays for the festival alongside Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar who are performing on Fridays and Sundays, respectively.

This was indeed a wonderful surprise after Beyoncé's cancellation. It can be recalled that a lot of her fans were deeply outraged with the "Formation" singer's backing out, prompting them to ask for refunds or even posted online to sell their tickets. As for Lady Gaga's little monsters, this is yet another exciting treat from their Mother Monster.

With the Coachella under her belt, this adds to her extremely hectic album tour schedule, which had more additional dates due to popular demand. Her official website has been updated to reflect that she's appearing in the said festival on the two mentioned Saturdays, while her "Joanne" World Tour goes full blast on Aug. 1 in Rogers Arena at Vancouver, Canada.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is a two-weekend long celebration of music and togetherness, bringing some A-list performers to entertain and inspire. With Lady Gaga on board, it is going to be another installment to remember.
