'Code Black' Episode 3 Spoilers and Episode 2 Recap: Mario and Angus Do a Procedure; Christa Fights for a Patient
In the next episode of "Code Black" entitled "Pre-Existing Conditions," the official synopsis reads, "The doctors work 36 consecutive hours in code black and must deal with a distraught mother of two sons who were in a devastating car accident. Meanwhile, Mario bullies Angus into performing an unnecessary operation and lets Angus take the blame when Leanne finds out."
In the promo for the episode, it seems that the doctors will take on the case of a convicted murder, while one of their patients has lost the will to live. The convict will go into cardiac arrest as he talked about his victims. Marco and Angus go against Leanne's wishes as the others find a reason for a patient to live.
The preceding episode began with the first year residents as they gossiped about Doctor Leanne, while they cleaned the floors of the emergency room. Christa and Pineda told the boys to drop it as Jesse entered and gave the residents some pointers before the shift started.

The shift began and a man who was in accident was brought in. Doctor Leanne saved the man's life and he had a wife and a kid. Meanwhile, a hockey player who had fainted was brought in. Mario was tasked to deal with the athlete who refused to believe the diagnosis.
An elderly woman who had swallowed some coins in order to get out of the nursing home was brought in. The residents had to collect the coins as it passed through her body. Pineda and Angus clashed over a patient who had back pain.
Christa had a patient who had a problem with her ovary. Her husband had died and she really wanted a child. Christa had persuaded the other doctors to do the surgery necessary to save the woman's ovary.
Jesse talked to Mario after a fight between him and the hockey player almost broke out. Mario chatted with the athlete later on and mentioned that he could do anything he wanted. Leanne chewed out Pineda and Angus for not trusting their instincts. The episode ended with Leanne introducing the man she saved to the other doctors.
"Code Black" airs every Wednesday.
