'Code Vein' News: Gameplay Video Takes Players to Some Hostile-Looking Locations
Some enemies also previewed in the new gameplay video
"Code Vein" is attempting to present gamers with a new title that will challenge them in numerous ways. One of the ways it will attempt to do so is through asking players to explore dangerous locations, some of which were previewed just recently.
A new video that can be seen over on IGN's YouTube channel takes players to three different areas.
The first of these areas looked like a cavern or perhaps even a mine of some sort. Whatever it was, it certainly did not appear to be any kind of safe haven, and that was proven to be true a little later in the video when the player was attacked by a hideous-looking creature.
The creature swung a weapon violently, but even within the tight confines of the area, the player was able to avoid any serious harm and fended off the foe. More enemies were lurking deeper into the mine/cavern and it appeared to be quite a long drop to the bottom too.
The next location shown in the video appeared to be a snowy mountainside that was also serving as a makeshift graveyard for some old vehicles. No enemies were present here, but the combination of the snow flying in the wind and the narrow pathways still made for difficult exploration for the "Code Vein" characters onscreen.
Finally, the video then previewed the remains of a city that seemed to have been destroyed fairly recently. Fires can be seen throughout the ruined city, though some roads were still passable. It is still unclear what or who may have brought about this destruction as there are no enemies to be seen, so players will just have to find the answer for that question themselves.
"Code Vein" is expected to be released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One sometime next year.
