'Code Vein' News: Players Are Not Going To Be Given an Easier Difficulty Setting

Players are going to have to come up with their own strategies to defeat the game's challenging enemies

"Code Vein" has been compared at times to the "Dark Souls" games due in part to the newer title aspiring to also present players with truly difficult challenges.

There are significant differences between those games, however, so those who may not have been interested in getting into the "Dark Souls" series may now want to take a shot at the upcoming Bandai Namco offering.

Well, if that is the case then prospective players are going to want to start honing their action role-playing game skills.

During a recent roundtable interview, director Hiroshi Yoshimura and producer Keita Iizuka shared some new things about the action RPG, DualShockers reported.

One of those new revelations is related to the game's difficulty level.

According to the developers, there will be no easier difficulty level included in "Code Vein" aside from the default setting.

What that means is that if players still find themselves struggling while going through the game at the default difficulty level, they will then have no other choice than to simply practice and figure out new plans of attack they can use to overcome the challenges in front of them.

Instead of lowering the difficulty level, players are instead going to have find things in the game they can handle and then proceed from there. If they are unable to manage that, then they may find themselves stuck.

There are several elements of "Code Vein" players will need to master if they are going to be successful.

The game utilizes a Stamina Gauge that players need to manage carefully while in battle and they will also have to figure out when to use the available Drain and Partner Actions. The Gift and Focus Systems can provide players with temporary boosts that can be extremely valuable in combat, so these are elements players need to be mindful of as well.

"Code Vein" is set to be released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime next year.
