Comedienne Bridget Everett Dishes on Amy Schumer's New Relationship

Amy Schumer is "very happy" with the new man in her life.

Earlier this week, Schumer's BFF Bridget Everett spoke with Us Weekly and dished about the "Trainwreck" star's blossoming relationship. When asked about Schumer's boyfriend Chris Fischer, Everett said, "Uh, yes! I won't say anything other than I'm happy that Amy's very happy."

Everett has been a good friend for Schumer for a while now. Earlier this year, she talked about their relationship and how Schumer influenced her in many ways. "She's taught me a lot as a friend," said Everett at the time. "She doesn't have an agenda for her friends ... She just wants to do nice things for people. She's also given me a lot of opportunities professionally."

News of Schumer and Fischer's relationship was first revealed in November. The twosome was photographed having a romantic dinner date in New York City on Nov. 7. Before meeting Fischer, Schumer dated furniture designer Ben Hanisch. They eventually called it quits in May after dating for a year and a half.

According to PEOPLE, Fischer resides on Beetlebung Farm in Martha's Vineyard. It was the place where he grew up and wrote "Beetlebung Farm Cookbook," which went on to win a James Beard Award. Fischer previously worked as Mario Batali's sous chef, who he met through close friend Jake Gyllenhaal. He now works as the chef of his own restaurant on the Vineyard.

2017 was a big year for Schumer. Aside from having a new beau, she also reached a new milestone in her acting career. Last month, the comedienne made her Broadway debut in Steve Martin's play "Meteor Shower."

Directed by four-time Tony winner Jerry Zak, the play set in 1993 is about two different couples who get together in the upscale neighborhood of Ojai, California. Also part of the stellar cast were Keegan-Michael Key, Laura Benanti and Jeremy Shamos.
