Conor McGregor on Ronda Rousey News: 'The Notorious' defends Ronda Rousey from Donald Trump, says US presidential candidate can 'shut his big, fat mouth'

UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor vehemently defended former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey from presidential candidate Donald Trump.

After Rousey was knocked out by Holm on November 15th at UFC 193, Trump posted a snarky tweet, expressing his utter satisfaction with the fight's outcome.

"Glad to see that @RondaRousey lost her championship fight last night. Was soundly beaten - not a nice person!" Trump wrote.

On Monday, McGregor arrived in Los Angeles, where he was met by the TMZ camera crew. He was then asked what he thought about the fight, which candidly answered.

"Very tough fight. Holly fought a great fight. I have much respect," McGregor said. "This is the fight business. These things happen. Ronda will be back. True champions come back. And congratulations to Holly, the new champion."

"Defeat is the secret ingredient to success," he added. "True champions can conquer that, overcome it and come back. So I wish her all the best and that's it."

As for Trump's comment, "The Notorious" simply says he understands that the business tycoon is speaking from the outsider's perspective, and does not comprehend what a fighter goes through inside the ring or cage.

He did, however, leave a snide message, afterwards.

"It's easy for someone who's not in there to comment," the brash Irishman said. "It's different when you're in there. The emotions are high. It is what it is. You don't want to touch gloves, then don't. That means nothing."

"Donald can shut his big fat mouth," he added. "I don't give a f*** about Donald Trump."

Conor McGregor will be unifying the UFC 145-pound titles against reigning Brazilian champion José Aldo at UFC 194 on December 12th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The said match-up was originally scheduled last July 11th at UFC 189, but was postponed after Aldo pulled out two weeks prior to fight night, due to a rib injury.
