'Constantine' Spoilers, Recap: Episode 6 'Rage of Caliban' Overview, Episode 7 Plot News
Last Friday's episode of "Constantine" saw a young child being controlled by a malevolent spirit, and Constantine did his best to stop the spirit from inflicting any more harm.
In the episode titled "Rage of Caliban," a little girl is in the corner while her mother is crushed beneath a pile of bricks, while her father is thrown around until he is dead. The police come, and when they start arguing, a coffee mug explodes.
Constantine and Chas visit the house to investigate, and Constantine finds out that the girl was possessed with the spirit of a child, and now that spirit is finding another child to possess. They also learn that this isn't the first time that this happened. Over the past 35 years, six cases with similarities to this have surfaced. Only one of them is alive—his name is Marcelo, and he is the child of the first victims in the series of murders.
His father punished him by cutting off his finger with an ax, and both his parents were killed with farm equipment. Authorities thought that Marcelo might have killed his parents, and had him committed to a mental institution. Constantine and Chas visit him, but he is comatose and unable to help.
Later, the latest victim is a child named Henry. He is being bullied constantly, and Henry's demon uses telekinesis to throw his bully against a merry-go-round.
Constantine visits Henry's parents and tells them that Henry is being possessed. Henry's father, Daryl, doesn't believe him and punches him. Constantine ends up in jail.
Henry's parents begin fighting, and Henry's demon starts smashing all the mirrors in his room. Claire realizes that Constantine may be on to something and drops the charges against him.
Constantine chases Henry into a Halloween carnival, and the spirit reveals itself, and Constantine sees that it's Marcelo. He grabs Henry, says an incantation, and sends Marcelo back to his body.
Meanwhile, here is the synopsis for episode 7 titled "Blessed Are the Damned":
"While in art class, Zed has a bizarre vision of snakes that lead her and John to a small town where a preacher has mysteriously gained the ability to heal his congregation."
"Constantine" airs Friday nights at 10 p.m. on NBC.
